What should I do if my pet is exposed to poison?
- If you are concerned that your pet has eaten bait or other packaged poison, please gather the package and any other pieces of the material that your pet ingested and carefully place it in a ziploc bag to bring with you. This step be helpful for your veterinarian to determine the best course of treatment for your pet

If it is a caustic substance, then your veterinarian may recommend alternative therapies such as medical grade activated charcoal to absorb the toxin from your pet’s GI tract or intralipid therapy to absorb the toxin from your pet’s blood stream.
