Veterinary Assistant

Growing up I have always loved animals, and have been around them from my own pets, family
pets, and even caring for pets of family friends. Due to this love of animals, I wanted to pursue a
career as a veterinarian where I will be able to provide care and comfort to both the animals and
the people. I recently graduated from NC State University where I received my Bachelors in
Animal Science, and I am currently applying to vet school so I can hopefully one day receive my
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
My ultimate goal for a client is to make sure that they are educated with what they need to know
about their pet, and for them to know that their pet is being handled with care as if it were my
own pet.
Each day I am excited to see new things, and learn something that I did not know about in this
field. I am continuously gathering more knowledge about veterinary medicine, and applying it to
help my patients and clients.
At home I have one dog who runs the house, “Oakley” a Beagle and Australian Shepherd mix, a
rabbit, and about thirty chickens that are free range.
