In-House Pharmacy

We offer an extensive in-house pharmacy of flea and tick prevention as well as heartworm prevention and other prescription medications and nutraceutical supplements.

Radiology

We offer digital x-ray services.  This allows us to take images of your pet if needed in a portable digital format.  Radiographs may be recommended for your pet to evaluate orthopedic structure and disease, to evaluate your pet’s lungs due to coughing or sneezing, or for other reasons.

Ultrasound

When needed, ultrasounds are scheduled with and provided by Appalachian Veterinary Ultrasound.  For this procedure, your pet will be dropped off and will spend the day with us.  Your pet may require light sedation in order to get diagnostic quality images.  Once your pet’s ultrasound is completed, your veterinarian will discuss the findings and recommendations.

In-House Laboratory

We offer in-house CBC and blood chemistries, as well as fecal examinations and urinalyses.  This allows us to get diagnostic information in a timely manner to come up with the best plan for your pet.  For less urgent cases, we work with a national reference laboratory in order to perform a wider array of diagnostic testing including cultures, histopathology, and other services.
