As part of wellness care, we recommend keeping your pet’s teeth clean and healthy. We are pleased to offer routine dental cleanings as part of our complete oral health assessment. At home care may include brushing your pet’s teeth with a dog or cat safe toothbrush and tooth paste. Just like dentists recommend that people have their teeth cleaned regularly, veterinary dentists recommend that pet’s teeth are professionally cleaned annually. At this time, your pet will also receive a complete oral health assessment to evaluate for gum pockets, infection, or masses in their mouth. Based on the results of this cleaning and exam, your veterinarian may make recommendations for oral surgery if needed.

Dental Radiographs

Dental radiographs add an important component to your pet’s complete oral health assessment. Springs Road Animal Hospital now offers dental radiographs as part of your pet’s annual dental examination and cleaning. This allows us to assess pathology below the gumline and determine if any pathology needs to be addressed medically.
